Product Details Prism Glasses Scottish Health Innovations Limited Product Description: Mirror therapy is a form of treatment, based on imagery. It is used as a therapy for a number of medical conditions including phantom limb pain, stroke, complex regional pain syndrome and other neurological conditions. The user looks at their functional limb, through the prism glasses. An image of the functional limb is seen as a mirror image e.g. looking at the right hand they see an image of left hand. An illusion of the affected or amputated limb moving normally is created by observing a mirror image of the unaffected limb. Why Use Prism Glasses? Prism Glasses have been designed by an expert team comprising of an experienced consultant in Pain Management and Rehabilitation, optometrist, ophthalmologist, health psychologist, stroke physician and physiotherapist for treatment and rehabilitation of conditions such as phantom limb pain and stroke.
