The English Centre in Colombo offers
general English training for adults and
children and specializes in courses in EAP
(English for Academic Purposes), ESP
(English for Special Purposes) and IELTS.
The English Centre only employs English
teachers from the UK and Australia, and our
elite team includes specialists in Business,
Medical, Financial, Banking and Legal
English, as well as English for the Tourist
Industry.
Our chief focus, therefore, is with corporate
clients for whom we develop tailor-made
packages of English training. This training
is delivered on the client’s premises, adding
convenience to high quality.
Many corporate clients are opting for our
English training concept, the ‘embedded
trainer’. The trainer works full-time in-
house, dividing time between group
teaching and as a resident language
resource offering a variety of language
assistance.
The English Centre is a registered
preparation Centre for Cambridge
University ESOL exams thus we teach to
high standards.
