Content 1 gelatin capsule contains app. 270 mg of pure propolis and app. 130 mg of bee collected Rock Rose (Cistus sp.) pollen. Properties and effects Researches conducted in the Institute of Maritime Medicine in Split have shown that Croatian propolis has a stronger antioxidative effect than vitamins C and E and some synthetic antioxidants. It was proved in Ruer Boakovi Institute that native propolis significantly reduces the level of free radicals in blood, especially in brain. This points to a possibility of its beneficial effect in treatment of neurodegenerative diseases (Parkinsons disease, Alzheimers disease). Indications and dosage It is used to strengthen weakened immune system in cases of reduced immunity, to prevent common cold and influenza, to treat chronic illnesses, low fitness and during the recovery phase of illness. It is recommended as a protection from harmful effects of free radicals, which accumulate in states of stress, increased mental and physical efforts, radiation and in a polluted atmosphere (recommended to athletes, physical workers, politicians, business people, students, radiologists and x-ray technicians, divers, radarists and others). The recommended dose is 3-4 capsules per day at least half an hour before meals. The dose should be increased to 3 capsules 3 times a day during inflammatory processes. Experience shows us that it would be best to take 3 capsules 5 times a day between meals in cases of the most severe illnesses. Warning Persons allergic to bee products must not use propolis.
